What was supposed to be a 90 mile drive to an aire, ended up being 150 miles to a campsite near the Atlantic coast. The aire just didn't do it for us, so we decided to use our last remaining camping cheque for a free night, once we could locate this rather strange campsite. 

As we descended from the hillier parts of the Alentejo region the temperature rose to a pleasantly mild 20c. Warm enough for us to get the deckchairs out and treat ourselves to afternoon tea and Xmas cake in the sunshine.
